Frame Your World

If you have received Jesus Christ as your savior and made Him the Lord of your life, you have begun a marvelous journey. The path you are on will lead you to some amazing destinations along the way and will ultimately lead you to the greatest of all finish lines. In fact, your life of faith is going to be much like building a house. Making the decision to put Jesus first is like the initial decision to build the house and choosing to build your life on the Word of God is like putting the most solid foundation on Earth under your life’s structure. Of course, most people really look forward to picking out the paint colors and putting the finishing touches on their house of faith, but many folks leave out one of the most important steps in their spiritual walk.
It is easy for most people to see the importance of many of the stages of this building process. For example, designating the Word to be the foundation of the believer’s life is a concept that is simple for most Christians to grasp. Why is that? Well, faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17), and I’m sure there aren’t many ministers these days that wouldn’t agree that the Word of God should be first priority. So, as people hear that, their faith grows and they agree with that concept. The same is true with the latter parts of the building process. Most ministers agree and preach that when the going gets tough, the tough should get going; so they preach putting on the Armor of God and fighting the good fight of faith. And most importantly, we can all agree about the wondrous ending of our faith and how amazing Heaven will be. But, sadly, there is one VITAL step that not every believer has been taught.
This crucial step that is left out of most church teaching these days revolves around your WORDS. For some reason, pastors get really nervous when it comes to this subject, but thankfully, the Bible keeps this concept very straightforward and easy to put into action. Like every other spiritual principle, God gave us the pattern for how we can do this when He created the Earth. Hebrews 11:3 tells us that God FRAMED the entire universe, or what the Bible calls “worlds”, with His words. Everything you and I can see with our physical eyes in this world came because God spoke it into existence. Trees, water, grass, clouds, rocks, birds, elephants, fish, and even humans are here because God SPOKE them into being! Just look and see how many times “God said” in the creation process (Genesis 1:3-27). I counted eight and I truly believe that repetition is meant to show us how important “saying” is in our creation process.
Think about it for a moment. In the building process, what is the next step after laying a foundation? Any carpenter will tell you it is framing the house. Now, we just saw from the Word that God framed the worlds with words, but did you know that we have literally been created to do that very same thing? If you think about it, I’m sure you do. What do we call the people that wrote our United States Constitution? We call them the FRAMERS, don’t we? The USA was completely framed with words. Think about that for a moment. A handful of men dared to BELIEVE that we could have a nation as great as we have and then they said it on paper. They pictured it in their minds and many people “fought the good fight” to protect that nation’s values through many wars, but before it could be built and maintained, words had to frame it!
Your life is no different. Your Heavenly Father has provided an amazing destiny for you in Christ Jesus, but you are going to have to say it is so if you are ever going to realize that provision in your life. In fact, any promise from God’s Word that will yield good fruit has to be mixed with faith and then spoken into existence in the life of the believer. Jesus said so himself (Luke 6:43-45). Lay hold of the Word of God today and then frame YOUR world just like your Heavenly Father framed THE world… with words!
